About the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women North America Class of 2023

Sercante Founder & CEO Andrea Tarrell

“I’m in awe to be surrounded by so many powerful female founders as a member of the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women program. And I’m definitely proud to be among women founders representing the technology sector for the North America Class of 2023. Together, we’ll create a more inclusive future for everyone,” said Andrea Tarrell, CEO & founder of Sercante.

“Women founders contribute trillions to the US economy, and studies have shown that when women are empowered, the economy grows,” said EY Americas Industry and Solutions Leader Cheryl Grise, who also serves as the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women North America Program Executive Sponsor.

“At EY, we believe that a rising tide lifts all boats, so the success of women impacts the success of every business. Over the last 16 years, the Winning Women program has intentionally addressed societal gender-based challenges that often confront women entrepreneurs by providing these phenomenally talented businesspeople with greater access, guidance and knowledge, which are the tools they need to continue to break the mold, inspire innovation and be shamelessly ambitious. I welcome these women to the fold and look forward to seeing them do even bigger and greater things,” said Grise

Members of the Winning Women Class of 2023 have ambition, creativity and a desire to build a better world in common. They are tackling problems from inclusivity, to offering healthier products and food, to solving complex healthcare issues. Others are bringing to the table innovative solutions in supply chain, data management, marketing and more. The founders selected for the program display unparalleled ingenuity, business prowess, ambition in crafting solutions and a formidable can-do attitude that allowed them to break from the pack of their peers to stand out.

“2023 has been filled with many economic ups and downs — from geopolitical unrest, to interrupted supply chains, to inflation — there has been plenty to make consumers tighten their belts” said Maranda Bruckner, EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women North America Program Leader. “I applaud these business leaders for not only surviving these challenges, but exceeding growth and profit expectations when others did not. They are outstanding examples of being unstoppable and shifting entire industries. We are excited to have them in the program and deeply congratulate them on this recognition.”

The EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women North America program serves women business owners who are founding CEOs of any US or Canadian privately held company. Company revenues typically range from at least $2 million to $30 million annually. The EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women program participants become part of a global peer community, which includes more than 900 entrepreneurs in 55 countries and on every continent.

“Every year, I am so pleased to welcome the newest class of the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women North America program, who are not only incredible leaders in their organizations but also in their communities,” said Lee Henderson, America’s EY Private Leader. “It is an honor to provide these best-in-class founders with resources and access to EY’s vast entrepreneurial ecosystem to help them scale, attract talent and disrupt industries. I am always excited to see where these entrepreneurs go next. I already know it’s only up from here.”

The Class of 2023 will be officially recognized in November at the Strategic Growth Forum®, one of the nation’s most prestigious events for ambitious, high-growth, market-leading business leaders.

Sercante Joins the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advisory Board

Representing marketers on Salesforce, Sercante Founder & CEO Andrea Tarrell teams with Salesforce to shape the future of Marketing Cloud.

Understanding and growing to meet evolving client needs is a mutual goal Sercante shares with Salesforce. To accomplish that goal, we’re announcing Sercante CEO & Founder Andrea Tarrell has been appointed to serve on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Partner Advisory Board.

“We’re thrilled to have a seat at the table to advocate for our customers’ needs and shape the direction of the Marketing Cloud roadmap,” said Andrea Tarrell, CEO & Founder of Sercante.

“This aligns with our goal of helping all marketers be successful with the Salesforce platform, and I look forward to representing Sercante on the PAB.”

What are Salesforce Partner Advisory Boards?

The purpose of the Partner Advisory Board (PAB) is twofold:

  1. To serve as a source of input from leaders and industry experts to aid in the formation of strategy, planning, and execution on all dimensions of Salesforce products & business
  2. To give partners a formal forum to voice ideas and opportunities that can accelerate their business growth

Salesforce Partner Advisory Boards are organized by product and focus area. For instance, there are PABs for partners specializing in Salesforce.org services, AppExchange products (ISV), and boards for individual Salesforce clouds, like Service or Commerce Cloud.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Partner Advisory Board

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud PAB includes consulting partner representatives from all products under the Marketing Cloud umbrella including Pardot, Datorama, Interaction Studio, and more.

With this new role on the advisory board, Sercante will have an opportunity to actively influence the future development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud products.

Representing Marketers on Salesforce

The Sercante team works closely with marketing-focused clients who use Salesforce tools to accomplish their goals. With that in mind, Andrea’s appointment to serve on the Marketing Cloud PAB highlights Sercante clients’ unique marketing technology experiences.

Andrea will deliver Sercante client perspectives straight to the drivers of Salesforce platform innovation. This open communication stream will shape the future of Marketing Cloud products to better meet the needs of all marketers who use Salesforce tools.

Goal: Drive marketing-specific platform innovation

The big winners in this announcement are marketers who use any Salesforce tools, whether they work in Pardot, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or a combination of products. Now with better representation on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Partner Advisory Board, marketers using any Salesforce cloud will see versatile product innovations for both the B2B and B2C marketer.

Sercante is the first Salesforce-recognized Pardot PDO

We have big news to share. Sercante is the first Salesforce-recognized Pardot PDO!

As a Salesforce Pardot product development outsourcer (PDO) partner, we support the development of custom solutions that other vendors own and maintain.

While the Pardot PDO recognition is new to us, we’ve helped companies develop Pardot extensions and integrations since 2018. This includes our own suite of products.

What is a Salesforce PDO Partner?

Salesforce customers who don’t have the CRM expertise or resources can turn to Salesforce-recognized consulting partners. Most Salesforce ISVs have in-house developer teams to tackle complex customizations and integrations.

Consulting partners help with everything from product ideation, development, support services, and even sales and marketing consulting and services.

Salesforce PDO Partners complete at least one project with any PDO specialization with a Salesforce Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) score greater than 4.2/5.0.

In a way, PDO partners focus on the future of Salesforce by extending platform functionality faster than Salesforce can!

They types of projects PDO partners work with include:

  • AppExchange Listing, Trials and Demo
  • Architecture & UX Design
  • Development/QA/Release Management/Security Review
  • Ideation/Business Model/Value Prop
  • Marketing Support
  • Package Review & Optimization
  • Product Support

Additionally, Salesforce PDO partners understand the complexities that go into creating secure apps.

The Salesforce security review process can be tricky to navigate. So it’s helpful to engage a PDO partner for their experience with the process. PDO partners can save time and avoid the headache of multiple security reviews.

Take all of that and layer on Pardot

Sercante gained the recognition of being the first Pardot PDO partner after we helped a number of companies build integrations with and extensions to Pardot. We also maintained an average 4.9 CSAT score on top of getting the work done.

And that’s the main difference with Pardot PDOs. We are expert-level consultants and developers who know how to bend the Pardot API to our will.

Sercante Labs is where the Pardot PDO magic happens

The PDO side of the Sercante house lives within Sercante Labs.

Operating as an independent division of the top Pardot System Integrator (SI), Sercante, Sercante Labs is led by VP of Engineering, Adam Erstelle, and VP of Product, Mike Fazio, with investment from Sercante founder Andrea Tarrell.

Mike explained the role of Sercante Labs in the Salesforce ecosystem.

“The vision of Sercante Labs is three-fold. One, we want to help ISVs build awesome extensions to Pardot and to bring more value-added integrations to the Pardot ecosystem. Second, we are building our own suite of products to continue to expand the power of Pardot. And third, we are focused on fostering meaningful relationships with the Salesforce ISV ecosystem in order to make sure we can collectively deliver a full package of useful products and services to our customers,” Mike said.

The Sercante Labs division of the company is divided into three segments:

Product Development

We build products and packaged solutions to support our clients’ needs.

Prospect Updater is a solution we’ve created over the past few years based on real-life needs of our clients who wanted to automate their way to cleaner data. Additionally, we have a full suite of apps available and others in the works.

Product Development Outsourcing (PDO)

We support the design, build, and go-to-market strategy of custom Pardot integrations and Salesforce AppExchange solutions that are owned and managed by other vendors.

ISV & External Partnerships

We interpret existing third-party technology options and areas for growth to core Sercante business.

We hatched our Pardot-Zoom integration from this idea. The integration we built is more robust than the one Zoom currently offers.

Sercante Labs materializes Pardot dreams

Demand for extending Pardot functionality is growing rapidly as marketing teams use automations and integrations to make life easier for everyone.

“We used to say ‘wouldn’t it be nice if Pardot _____’. Now we get out there, build those solutions and share them with others,” Adam said about the founding of Labs.

Recognition from Salesforce as the first Pardot PDO solidifies the work Sercante Labs has done already and enables us to venture even further into uncharted Pardot waters.

“And it’s great that we now have the recognition to prove we can help others take action on their Pardot app ideas as well,” Adam concluded.

If you’re interested in our products or PDO services, drop us a line. We’d love to help however we can.

Hayley Tuller Named 2020 Merivis Volunteer of the Year

Sercante Solution Engineer, Hayley Tuller, has taken that generosity to a new level. Her volunteer work in the Salesforce community earned her the 2020 Merivis Volunteer of the Year Award.

Merivis Co-Founder and Executive Director Kate Perez presented Hayley with the award during a virtual keynote presentation on May 26 at the 2021 Merivis Summit.

Sercante Named Pardot Master Navigator

After recently celebrating our second anniversary, we were proud to learn Sercante had earned the Salesforce Master Navigator recognition for Pardot.

Only two other consultancies globally currently hold this distinction.  We are incredibly proud of this recognition for our work helping all kinds of organizations be wildly successful with Pardot and Salesforce.

What is the Salesforce Partner Navigator Program?

The Navigator statuses help customers find the right partner for them based on a partner’s proven expertise. A partner can earn a status of Certified, Specialist, and Master Navigator for various products and industries.

We are honored to have earned the highest level of recognition for our work with Pardot.

You can find a partner’s Navigator statuses in Pardot, Sales Cloud, and other products and and industries on the expertise tab of their AppExchange listing (here’s an example).

But First, Why Women & Minority Businesses in the Ecosystem Matter

Diversity in the broader Salesforce ecosystem is incredibly important, because it ultimately leads to better customer outcomes.

This could be a blog post all its own — but a diverse population of founders means a greater diversity in ideas, solutions, and encourages a broader and more accessible pipeline for talent.

Salesforce has been an outstanding leader in encouraging diversity and equality among its employees, suppliers, customers and partners. But guess what?  There aren’t that many women-owned and minority Salesforce businesses… yet.

Some eye opening stats to consider:

About the Scholarship

We want to change those numbers — and to help with that effort, we’re are offering an opportunity to under-represented rockstar business owners to apply for the chance to accelerate their business with a fully sponsored booth at Dreamforce.

Yes, you heard that right.  The lucky winner will receive:

Valued at $30,000

  • Turnkey Booth Kiosk
  • Lead Retrieval Device
  • 2 Full Conference Passes
  • 2 Booth Staff Passes

Not only are we offering this incredible opportunity to have booth of your very own but we are also offering a potentially even more valuable resource: real-life advice from other women who have been there in the trenches already.

In addition to the booth, the co-sponsors are offering:

One-On-One Advisory Sessions

Valued at $25,000

  • Product Strategy
  • Demand Gen & Pipeline
  • Customer Journey Analytics
  • Launching at Dreamforce
  • Building a Strong Culture

Why the Focus on Dreamforce?

Dreamforce is the biggest tech event of the year and offers an opportunity unlike any other for smart start-ups to set themselves up for success by launching their business into the ecosystem.

Our friends over at Spekit know this first hand, as they themselves were propelled into a rapidly growing success track by launching at Dreamforce last year.

Sercante Announces Hiring of 4 New Pardot Pros

Phew—things have been developing at a break-neck speed here at Sercante over the past few months! We’ve been super busy on our mission to help marketers crush it on the Salesforce/Pardot platform and continue to grow our team of “Dragons” in order to keep up with the demand. We’ve just hit an exciting milestone for the Sercante crew, with the addition of four more full time employees. (For those of you keeping track, that’s a growth rate of over 500% in just the past year!) And let me tell you, these Pardot Pros are taking badass to a whole new level. We’re thrilled to finally be able to share with the world the announcement of our four newest members of the Sercante fam: Marcos Duran, Jacqueline Fassett, Chloe Wilde, and Skyler Nakashima!

Photo of Marcos

Marcos is a proud Texas native and UT-Austin graduate, with a background predominantly in the marketing and operations departments of agencies, startups, non-profits and small to medium sized businesses. His experience includes event production, graphic design, marketing automation, social media management, and project management. A true Martech nerd (in the best possible way), he loves learning about the latest news and innovations in the field and is an active contributor in the Trailblazer community. Outside of work, he volunteers as marketing consultant and business mentor to several NPO’s and student organizations in the area.
Photo of Jacqueline

Jacqueline, who will head up Sercante’s team supporting non-profit clients, lives in Portland, OR. She is well known within the Salesforce.org ecosystem for her expertise helping nonprofits use Pardot. Though she has volunteered and worked with nonprofits since 2009, Jacqueline discovered her true passion for helping nonprofits use Pardot in 2016. In her free time she volunteers (surprise, surprise) with the Junior League of Portland, runs several Salesforce-related user groups, and gets outside to enjoy the cold, wet Pacific Northwest.
Photo of Chloe

Chloe is based in sleepy rural England, marking the third Sercante Dragon in the UK! Chloe fell into the world of marketing automation when she migrated her marketing team at the time from HubSpot to Pardot, and promptly fell in love with the Salesforce ecosystem. That was four years ago and she’s still a big CRM and marketing automation geek. Other geeky interests include playing video games competitively, collecting rare sci-fi books, astronomy, and trying desperately to balance out the desk time with plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and general exploring (with plenty of getting lost!)

Skyler lives in a small suburb north of Seattle, Washington with his wife and two daughters under the age of 3! He spent time as a recruiter before becoming a client facing consultant. Most recently, he focused on Marketing Technology at a full service consulting firm, where he managed their Pardot instance and delved deeper into the marketing automation and operations space. Outside of work, you can find him cheering on his favorite Seattle sports teams as well as his beloved college football team – Go Cougs! He’s also honing his skills in woodworking and all things DIY.
We’re thrilled to have these four marketing automation experts join our ever-expanding team of Pardot Pros around the globe, but we’re not done yet! We’re on a mission to grow and that requires more awesome people to join the team! So, if you’re a passionate Pardashian who’s looking for a career at one of the coolest (if we do say so ourselves) companies in the ecosystem, please reach out and tell us about yourself!

Open roles include:

CRM & Marketing Automation Strategist
Salesforce Technical Lead
