Community & Events Manager

Remote Position – Any Location with Great Wifi Works!

About the Gig:

This role will own all aspects of Sercante’s events, speaking opportunities, and community happenings. In this role you will plan, coordinate, market, and execute all community and event relationships including our annual conference, team speaking opportunities around the world, sponsor booths, and special events. This role will also lead our brand reputation strategy throughout the Salesforce community including managing our social media channels, building relationships with influencers and MVP, and representing all Sercante offers to help teams be successful on the Salesforce platform.

A Day-in-the-Life:

  • Implement and manage monthly reporting to measure performance for all events including registration goals, revenue goals, etc.
  • Actively develop and manage a forward-looking events calendar and coordinate project and task workflow to ensure on-schedule deliverables.
  • Manage and adhere to annual events budget and proactively make strategic budget allocation recommendations aligned with hitting company targets.
  • Work directly with the marketing team to plan and implement event campaigns, gather creative visual and written assets, and provide performance updates
  • Work directly with our internal teams to identify members with speaking interest, coordinate topic submissions, and manage other event logistics including travel, marketing materials, etc.
  • Own our annual event, MarDreamin,  from strategic planning to day-of-coordination including working with 3rd party event platform vendors, working with dev/design team for creative and website needs, running our speaker submission process, coordinating with sponsors, managing all event marketing needs, etc.
  • Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and internal teams to ensure a successful event for all involved.
  • Manage our social media channels to foster our community presence promoting events, upcoming speaking sessions, upcoming workshops, charitable activities, etc.
  • Build relationships with influencers MVPs in the Salesforce space as well as our internal teams to build social media ambassadors to promote our brands and contribute to our community blog.
  • Travel to 3-5 events each year to handle on-site coordination

A Successful Strategist will:

  • Experience with planning and coordinating large virtual and in-person events from beginning to end
  • Have a passion and desire for events and building community
  • Comfortable with making small WordPress updates and building email inside Pardot or a willingness to learn
  • Have experience working across all social media platforms and building an engaged community
  • A desire to work in a team environment while still being self-directed
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to Google their way out of just about anything
  • Be crazy organized, deadline driven, and own details
  • Experience in or knowledge of the Salesforce community and events preferred
